Is your home ready for Spain’s new 2030 energy regulations?

From 2030, homes with poor insulation may no longer qualify for the Energy Certificate (CEE) required for sale or rent.

EverCoat helps you meet the new standards, while reducing your energy bills and improving comfort all year round right away.

New energy efficiency rules are coming — and they’ll affect every homeowner in Spain

Spain’s new building efficiency rules follow the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) and says that starting January 2030, all residential properties must meet a minimum energy rating of “E” to be sold or rented. By 2033, this will rise to Class D. Homes currently rated F or G will need upgrades to comply.

The biggest cause of low ratings? Poor insulation.

Without proper wall and roof insulation, your home loses heat in winter and gains it in summer — raising energy use and lowering efficiency.

  • If your house doesn’t meet the new standard:
You may not be able to sell or rent it.
  • Its market value could drop.
  • You’ll spend more on energy every month.

Future-proof your home with EverCoat’s insulation system

EverCoat specialises in high-performance thermal insulation coatings designed for Spain’s hot summers and mild winters.

Our systems are applied directly onto existing walls — no demolition, no mess — creating a smooth, weatherproof surface that insulates and protects.

How we protect and transform your home

1. Wall preparation

The walls are thoroughly cleaned, and any cracks, loose patches, or damp areas are repaired. This ensures the new insulation has a solid, clean base to adhere to.

A perfectly level aluminium starter strip is attached along the bottom edge of the walls. It keeps the insulation aligned, stable, and protected from moisture rising from the ground.

Large insulation panels are precisely glued and fixed to the walls with specialized adhesive and plastic anchors. They fit tightly together to eliminate gaps, keeping the building cool in summer and warm in winter.

Once the adhesive sets, the boards are further secured with plastic pins drilled into the wall. This guarantees durability and prevents movement over time.

All corners, windows, and door edges are strengthened using PVC corner profiles with fiberglass mesh, then the entire surface is covered with a fiberglass mesh embedded in adhesive. This layer prevents cracks and protects vulnerable edges.

A high-quality primer is applied to seal the surface and create perfect adhesion for the final coating.

A professional spray-applied coating gives the façade a waterproof yet breathable finish, available in smooth or textured options and a wide range of colours. It delivers long-lasting protection and a modern new look—without the need for repainting.
